High-Capacity Reversible Data Hiding in Encrypted Images Based on Hierarchical Quad-Tree Coding and Multi-MSB Prediction

Nowadays, more and researchers are interested in reversible data hiding encrypted images (RDHEI), which can be applied privacy protection cloud storage. In this paper, a new RDHEI method on the basis of hierarchical quad-tree coding multi-MSB (most significant bit) prediction is proposed. The content owner performs pixel to obtain error image explores maximum embedding capacity by before encryption. According marked bits vacated room capacity, hider embed additional into room-vacated without knowing original image. Through key encryption key, legal receiver able conduct extraction recovery separately. Experimental results show that average rates proposed separately reach 3.504 bpp (bits per pixel), 3.394 bpp, 2.746 three well-known databases, BOSSBase, BOWS-2, UCID, higher than some state-of-the-art methods.
